Some experts say that the greatest benefits of gymnastics are physical: the amazing power, the unparalleled balance, injury prevention, and grace. Others say the benefits are to the mind: the perseverance, the poise, the confidence, the attention to detail, the concentration. At Salem Gymnastics Sports Center, we've known since 1980, without a doubt, that both are true. In fact, gymnastics training is a requisite for all kids who want to be the best they can be in life.

Parent/Tots
(co-ed ages 1-4)
Quality instruction with parent supervision
Our Parent/Tot classes give toddlers a head start in fitness and social development. Through the help of our staff, you can teach your child to explore the world around him in new and exciting ways. Children are developing rapidly during these first years, and early development stimulates learning skills. Your child may roll down a padded incline, swing on tiny bars, possibly stop for a game of hoops then it's off to the trampoline or the ever popular "pit"! Help your child boldly go where no toddler has gone before!

Tumbleweeds
(co-ed
ages 3-5)

Learning through FUN is the goal of
our Tumbleweeds! Our professionally structured
program is designed to develop motor and social skills, but our Tumbleweeds would never
know it! In addition to gymnastics, students
are exposed to basic skills in soccer, tennis, football, golf and more. By exposing your child to a variety of skills, we
are laying the base for a positive athletic future, no matter what the sport. Tumbleweeds also learn social skills such as
sharing, taking turns, and cooperation, which are quite valuable for someone looking ahead
to Kindergarten!

Students new to gymnastics should enroll in Funtastic Gymnastics. Tumbleweed graduates should enroll in Funtastic or check with their instructor for a referral. Students with prior gymnastics experience should call the office to schedule an evaluation.

Gymnastics for fun and fitness! Funtastic students learn gymnastics and fitness
skills on all Olympic apparatus plus trampoline and Tumble-Trak. Classes are defined by school grade, and
sub-divided into logical, homogenous training groups.
Boys
Gymnastics
(ages 6+)
Work hard, play hard! That sums up the new boys program. Not only will your child build muscle mass, increase strength and flexibility and enjoy other physical benefits, but he will also learn a positive work ethic and develop self esteem that will last a life time. This program has been developed to challenge boys in Olympic style gymnastics training while having a lot of flippin’ fun. The boys will get a chance to showcase their newly acquired skills twice a year during Fun Meets.
