Coaches, Athletes and Parents;

We at Salem Gymnastics Center look forward to the opportunity of being your host for the  2001 Level 4 State Meet. We have spent many hours in preparation for the meet and are excited about the number and quality of competitors.

We will be hosting the meet in our new facility at 4870 Country Club Road. The new gym is only five minutes from the old one, but please allow enough time to find it. A map of the area is enclosed.

We will be competing using the Capitol Cup format, so please be aware of this and let your athletes know. It will be helpful to all of us if you can take the time to explain the Capitol Cup process to your athletes and parents before you arrive at the meet site. All 30-second touches will be done in order and will be timed from the head judges table. Squads will be split in half for touch when necessary at the discretion of the head judge. An explanation of the Capitol Cup system can be found on page 53 of the 2001-2002 Rules and Policies. There will be a spring strip floor for floor exercise warm-up. If you have any questions about the competition format, please call the gym and ask for Kenny, Tim or Jason.

There will be an open State meeting after the 2nd session on Saturday.  Please plan to attend.
