Welcome to Salem Gymnastics Sports Center!  Our goal is to offer the finest children’s programming in the area and make your child’s time at Salem be the highlight of their growing years!

PAYMENTS – Tuition is due on the 1st of each month. Fees are the same for each month regardless of holiday closures or “fifth” days. We will draft your account, you may bring your payment to SGSC or mail it; however it must be received at SGSC by the 5th to avoid late fees. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, checks and cash, and we offer discounted registration fee if you take advantage of monthly tuition draft.  There is a $25.00 charge for all checks returned by the bank.

SAVE $10.00 OFF REGISTRATION! Enroll in Auto Pay using credit/debit card (preferred) or your checking account.  It is safe, secure, and you will never have to worry about late fees!  Drafts are run on the first business day of the month.

TERMINATION – Our Gymnastics & Dance schools and Fitkids run from September through early June, and then summer from late June-August.  Karate runs year-round.  If you wish to discontinue classes prior to the end of the term you must notify the office IN WRITING prior to the 20th to be dropped from the class for the following month. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL TUITION INCURRED BEFORE THE DATE OF NOTIFICATION.

REGISTRATION – All students are required to register before beginning classes. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, but are good for an entire year and are due on the anniversary date of your enrollment thereafter.  Registration fee is $40.00 per child, however there is a $10.00 discount if your register online, and an additional $10.00 discount if you enroll in Auto Pay.

MAKE-UPS – Classes missed due to illness, injury, or special events may be made up within 30 days of the missed class during the Saturday FunGym hour. Programs are offered for preschoolers as well as school-aged students. Please call the office ahead of time to schedule your make-up, as FunGyms are not offered every single Saturday (no FunGyms on holidays or during SGSC special events). Make-up passes will be issued and should be picked up at the office the day of the make-up. Tuition WILL NOT be adjusted for missed classes unless they are cancelled due to SGSC special events.  If you cannot come to your make-up class, you must call and cancel or you forfeit the make-up.

OBSERVATION – Parents are welcome to stay and observe classes, however safety is a concern for those children who constantly “look” for mom or dad to watch them. It distracts from their concentration as well as the concentration of the rest of the class. For this reason, we ask that you observe classes from our balcony.

STUDENT ATTIRE
Gymnastics – Girls are to wear a leotard to every class. They may wear pull-on shorts and/or a t-shirt over the top of their leotard if they wish. Boys should wear a t-shirt tucked into pull-on shorts. No buckles or zippers, please. Bare feet are required. Long hair must be tied up off the shoulders (we recommend two side ponytails, as a back ponytail makes learning rolls painful).
Dance – Girls:  pink leather or canvas ballet shoes (no slippers), leotard and tights.  Boys:  black leather or canvas ballet shoes (no slippers), form fitting shirt and stretch pants.  Black tap shoes for all tap classes.  Long hair must be tied neatly up off the shoulders.
Karate – Students are to wear their Gi. Bare feet are required.
Sports Motions – Students are to wear t-shirt and shorts and sneakers. T-ball students should bring a glove.
Salem Fitkids - Students should wear sneakers and workout clothing.

No jewelry or gum is allowed. We are not responsible for any items left in the gym, however we do have a Lost and Found.

STUDENT PICK-UP –
Please park your car and come inside to pick up your children. If you do not pick up your child within 5 minutes of the last class of the day, you will be subject to a $5.00 supervision charge.

Children are not allowed outside the building or on the playground without adult supervision.

SNOW DAYS – In the event of inclement weather, please call the gym at 765-4668 or check the webpage and we will inform you of class status. We do not follow public school closings for snow days. Please do not assume that we are open or closed. If you miss a class due to bad weather you will be able to make it up.

NO GUM, SMOKING, OR PETS ALLOWED INSIDE THE BUILDING.
