Region 8 Gymnastics inducts Kenny Morphis into Hall of Fame

Region 8 Gymnastics inducted Salem co-owner Kenny Morphis into its Hall of Fame at the 2011 Region 8 Congress held at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, New Orleans, LA on July 16, 2011. Morphis was recognized for his outstanding contributions as a coach and volunteer in the sport of gymnastics, and specifically for contributions to Region 8 USA Gymnastics. He was among 4 others inducted into the Hall of Fame Class of 2011. “Being inducted into the USAG Region 8 Gymnastics Hall of Fame is an honor I humbly accept on behalf of the entire family that is Salem. The camaraderie of our athletes, booster club, and coaching staff makes Salem an incredible place to work. Just as I learned from outstanding coaches, judges, and my right hand man, Tim Lucas, I look forward to mentoring the next generation of Salem to be bigger and better. I am grateful to have the Salem name forever in the Region 8 Hall of Fame.” |
